The Scarlet Witch was always a character I've loved since here early days in the Brotherhood and then the Avengers, and after re-reading House of M, I decided to do my next piece on the scarlet-clad daughter of Magneto.
Wanda may seem simple, but she was anything but, and the problem I had here was getting the proportions right in the pose that I drew her in. Since she's wearing her trademark corset, I had to make sure her waist was sexy and that her bust was evident yet not too outrageously oversized (to keep her decent for the little kids out there). All the little details here and there in her costume helps her pop a little bit more, and I love the shade of red that I used that's a bit brighter than the shade I used for Daredevil and the colours all blend well together efficiently.
The face was something I put extra effort in as usual, and I'm glad I was able to put a different expression on here as compared to my other female pieces. I'm still working on drawing females but at least I know in some way I'm improving little by little. I added the cherry on top of the piece with her hex bolts on each hand, and I'm very pleased with how they turned out especially since there's not really a definite way to portray her powers in a physical manifestation. I hope you guys like her! No More Mutants!!
